The Gruffalo is about a woodland creature that has very scary features. Mouse goes around the forest scaring the other woodland creatures by telling them that The Gruffalo snacks on their kind. Mouse scares all of the creatures in the woods, but one day The Gruffalo shows up. Mouse becomes scared, and manipulates The Gruffalo as well. Mouse tells The Gruffalo that he should be scared, because he is the scariest mouse in the woods.
Use in classroom: I would read this story to the class, and have a discussion about lying and bullying. The students will need to write what Mouse should have done. This will help students determine right from wrong. The students will also need to give a positive comment to five classmates.
